Nathan & Josie: A Lakeside Love Story Unfolding at The Lighthouse on Long Lake
Every wedding tells a unique story, and Nathan and Josie's day at The Lighthouse on Long Lake in Spokane Valley was a beautifully candid testament to their journey. From their shared adventures biking through South Korea to the emotional "I do's" surrounded by 150 of their cherished guests, their day was truly special – and I was so honored to capture it all.
Josie and Nathan envisioned a wedding that felt both romantic and natural, with a strong desire for genuine, unposed moments. Their focus was firmly on capturing the real laughter during conversations, the heartfelt tears, and the joyful energy of dancing – a photographer's dream! The morning began with sweet, intimate touches as Josie's mom helped with her hair, makeup, and lacing up that beautiful dress. Meanwhile, Nathan and his groomsmen prepped with classic suspenders and ties, all before those exciting first looks with family and friends. The ceremony itself, nestled by the water, was a picturesque affair. Post-ceremony, a lively combined family photo kicked off the celebration along with fun wedding party photos for all to enjoy. The reception flowed seamlessly with a self-serve buffet, heartfelt toasts, and the tender moments of their first dance, father-daughter, and mother-son dances.
Every detail, from the gourmet cookies by a family friend to the catering by Josie's uncle, contributed to the intimate, family-centered atmosphere. Their rings, from online designer Faithful Platform, symbolized their unique bond.
It was an absolute pleasure to document Nathan and Josie's wedding – a day filled with so much love, authenticity, and unforgettable moments. Their commitment to candid, real-life emotions shone through every frame, making their gallery a true reflection of their beautiful union.
