Like Biggie....

It's been awhile, so let me introduce myself....I'm Chris Elam, and I have a problem with Photography.

See, I got into this industry for a few reasons that I'll highlight over the next month but for now let me tell you the number one reason I picked up a camera and started shooting.

I don't trust photographers. Yup, that was it. I don't trust photographers. Back in the day when I was engaged to my wonderful wife I went searching for the right photographer for our wedding. We spent hours, and days, and weeks and months searching for that one person that was suited and experienced enough to capture our wedding day and you know what I found...a lot of talented people...but none with same ideals and views that we had.

We were a young Christian family with the goals like any other newly wed couple who wanted to start a family, buy a house, have a decent car, and know what....not go into debt while doing it. The prices I found were decent to almost outrageous. How could we possibly be at the very start of or lives together and make a financial decision that was going to move us back in life, instead of forward? We couldn't, so we eloped with just our family and friends. No Music. No DJ. No photos! Just us surrounded by the people that love us.

After a few years with this experience still on my mind, a full time job, and a passion to help people I decided that I didn't want this to happen to anyone else and having an affordable option for people would work in this industry. I love photography. I love the experience of going out and capturing moments, making people smile, and creating art but what I love most is being the person to go to when you want high quality photos but don't want to pay the high quality price like everyone else. That right there is why Chris Elam Photography was born.

Welcome to the page of Spokane's Most Affordable Professional Photographer. Thank you for joining me on this adventure, and I'm excited for us to get to know each other. Let me show you what I'm all about.
